NORTHWOODS WOLFMAN BY SCOTT BURTNESS - VIRTUAL & REVIEW TOUR + GIVEAWAY

Northwoods Wolfman
by Scott Burtness

BLURB:

When Dallas is recruited by an ancient order of monster hunters, he's more than happy to sign up. The self-proclaimed Hero of Trappersville did kill a bloodthirsty vampire, after all. As far as Dallas is concerned, monsters are monsters, and they have no place in Wisconsin.

Or do they? And does Dallas really get to choose which side he's on?

Book Two of the Monsters in the Midwest series.

EXCERPT

“What you see here isn’t our usual M.O. We got wind of a vampire in these parts, so we decided to pay a visit. Imagine our surprise when we learned you took care of the problem before we arrived. That piqued our interest. We used to have a Society Warrior in these parts, so we decided it would be a good time to replenish the local ranks, so to speak.”

“What happened to the last guy?” Dallas asked.

“Dead,” Colton stated, matter of fact.

“We think,” Aletia added.

“You think? You’re either dead, or you ain’t, right?” Dallas asked.

“Well, most of him is dead,” Aletia explained. “There was a Mange-les-Morts celebration in Madison. In the Voodoo tradition, it’s the day for feeding dead family ancestors in govis, these little clay pots. One dead ancestor didn’t want to be dead anymore and possessed a Haitian witch. Tyrone thought he could handle it, que no había problema, but he’d been drinking Cremasse with a hundred and fifty proof rum. El muy estúpido was an organ donor, and now we’re worried a few of his leftover pieces.

“The point is,” Colton interjected, “These woods seem to be a bit of a magnet for monsters, so we need someone on the ground to deal with it. We need you.”

MY REVIEW
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Opening this book was like opening Pandora's Box, but instead of containing Evil, it contains a humorous read.
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed Northwoods Wolfman, excellent written with witty dialogues, fun situations, a non conventional hero and a great amount of delightful characters, embarks you in a delicious reading.
I feel really impressed by this Author, this is the type of "smart" reading that's hard to find.
As usual, I go against the world and read book two first, but don't worry! I already downloaded my copy of Book 1.
Highly recommended!!!
